Our Packaging Division mainly deals in packaging for food, such as natto (fermented soybeans), tofu (soybean curd), frozen desserts, and cup instant noodles, and produces them in an integrated manner from sheet forming to completed products at our own factories.
Our production factories, which were designed based on those of pharmaceutical manufacturers, are operated with a high-level hygiene-control system equivalent to food factories. At the factories, operational improvement activities are continually carried out through TPM activities, aiming for continued improvements of not only the facilities but also abilities and consciousness of our employees.
In addition, through collaborative product development with customers, we produce timely products indentifying customers’ needs precisely. We have produced a number of innovative packaging products such as moistureresistant OPALAY sheeting which improves the shelf life of food, original packaging with paper wrapped around OPALAY sheeting, sauce packets, and natto packaging which does not require a drying-preventive film.
We started to approach “safety and security” and traceability actively well before people became more interested in these issues. In 2010, we obtained ISO9001. We are carrying out the quality improvement activities continuously considering the customers' reliability first. We will continue to focus on ”safety and security” of food as the main theme of our business, and also promote the development of environmentally-friendly products.
